Welcome to Kellogg Farms and Quarter horses.
A little history about our operation.
My name is Bill and my wife's name is Corliss. I've been living and farming on this operation for the last twenty five years. Corliss and I met three year's ago in May. We got married two years ago in April. That's how I became involved in the quarter horse business. Corliss has raised babies for a number of year's. We both agree that we would rather offer quality, disposition, and a good all-around horse in our colt prospect's. We feel that our mare's and the stud that we are presently using does that for our program. The stud that we are currently using goes back to Colonel Freckle's and Gandy Dancer on his top side and Peppy San Badger and Sonita's Last on his bottom side. (This stud has no Doc Bar in his lineage.) Freckle's is presently over in Minnesota in reining training with Steve DeFrang who will be promoting him this coming year. We are very proud of his offspring and the disposition he puts in his colt's. Our broodmare's that we are currently using go back to some of the great bloodline's in the quarter horse industry. Bloodline's such as Mr. San Peppy, Star Duster, Driftwood, Orphan Drift, Frosty Feature, Dry Doc, Doc's Oak, Doc's Hickory, Peponita, Tyree's Watch, and Doc's Tevito. The main part of our operation is the farm. We no-till 4800 acres of farm ground using a 4-crop rotation. We use Winter Wheat, Spring Wheat, Sunflower's and Corn in our farming rotation's. We're located 7 mile's west of Gettysburg, South Dakota along highway 212. If you ever happen by and want to look at the horse's, stop in, the coffee's always on.
